These men were murdered
The State of New York killed 39 of its own citizens, injured hundreds more, and tortured the survivors
they began destroying evidence that same day.
They lied about the cause of death of the hostages.
They dared anyone to believe the prisoners.
Betrayal at Attica is based on the archive and final interview of radical lawyer Elizabeth Fink, who represented the Attica Brothers for more than 30 years.
She was a passionate advocate for human rights who defended her clients by attacking the most powerful foe in her time - the United States government.
Director Michael Hull digitized the archive, including hundreds of photos, dozens of slides, and over 20 hours of VHS tape. The material includes autopsy photos, pictures of the aftermath in D Yard, and video shot by a guard during the uprising.
Most of this material was not available to the public until now.
